‘SAS Rogue Heroes’ Season 3 Coming To BBC & MGM+ With Jack O’Connell

EXCLUSIVE: SAS Rogue Heroes are back.

Cameras are rolling on the third season of Steven Knight’s hit World War Two drama for the BBC starring Jack O’Connell, Eve Mansour, Sofia Boutella and Dominic West, which has been pre-bought as with previous seasons by MGM+.

New cast for Season 3 includes Nick Hargrove (Devotion), Lorne MacFadyen (Vigil, Starstruck), Andrew Dawson and Jake Jarratt.

Knight has previously spoken about his desire to make a third season and he had been working up scripts. The prolific scribe has Netflix’s House of Guinness and a second run of Disney+’s A Thousand Blows incoming.

Based on Ben Macintyre’s best-selling book, the new series of Rogue Heroes comes at a critical stage of World War Two, continuing to dramatize the story of the world’s greatest Special Forces unit. Paddy Mayne (OConnell) and his Rogues have parachuted deep behind enemy lines and must destroy and disrupt the mighty German army as they continue to repel the Allied advances. Alongside the French resistance and new recruits, the SAS once again face seemingly unsurmountable challenges, as the liberation of Western Europe begins. Main cast are returning and Season 3 is now filming in the UK and France.

Knight said: “Never has the war been so bloody and never have the stakes been so high. The Rogue Heroes dare to win, but at what cost to themselves and their souls?”

SAS Rogue Heroes is produced by Banijay-backed Kudos and Nebulastar. It is distributed internationally by Banijay Rights, which has sold the series to multiple global broadcasters and streaming services including MGM+ in the U.S., HBO Max in Europe, Prime Video in Canada, SBS in Australia, Starzplay in the Middle East, Paramount+ in Germany and Canal+ in France.
