New Trailer for Animated ‘Tomb Raider’ Series – Season 2 from Netflix

“Why do you care if she takes our masks?” Netflix has unveiled a new official trailer for the next season of their animated series called Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, based on all of the video games. With more episodes debuting in December after the show launched late last year. Picking up after the events of the highly successful Tomb Raider video game Survivor trilogy as told in 2013’s Tomb Raider, 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider, and 2018’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the animated series follows Lara Croft as she takes on the role of the iconic tomb raider that she is destined to become. In Season 2, Lara races across the globe to uncover ancient African relics before a techno-visionary bent on playing god uses them to unleash worldwide destruction. In addition to Hayley Atwell and Karen Fukuhara returning as Lara Croft and Sam Nishimura, the new voice cast includes O-T Fagbenle as Eshu, Allen Maldonado as Zip, and Earl Baylon as Jonah Maiava. I didn’t know this animated series was such a hit already! They’re always trying to keep the Lara Croft / Tomb Raider franchise going outside of the games and this seems to click with viewers.

Twenty-five years after her first game appeared, Lara Croft continues to explore new territory. Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is a new Netflix series being produced by Legendary Entertainment, and animated by Powerhouse Animation, the same animation house behind Netflix’s Castlevania and Masters of the Universe: Revelation series. The series is executive produced and written by Tasha Huo (a writer on The Witcher: Blood Origin, Red Sonja) who remains the showrunner. Executive produced by Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, Timothy I. Stevenson; Jacob Robinson, Dallas Dickinson, Noah Hughes, Jen Chambers, & Brad Graeber. Netflix will release Season 2 of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft series streaming on Netflix starting December 11th, 2025. Is anyone watching this?
