Daredevil, X-Men 97, VIsionQuest, and more
During a Marvel television and animation panel at New York Comic-Con, the studio made some major announcements about the next wave of TV shows coming to Disney Plus. Leading that charge is the Man Without Fear, aka Matt Murdock. Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will release in March 2026, bringing with it series star Charlie Cox along with the return of two other characters from the original Netflix x Marvel shows: Kristen Rytter as Jessica Jones and Elden Henson as Foggy.
Here’s everything we learned about Daredevil: Born Again season 2 (including our impressions of the trailer), along with other big announcements for X-Men ’97 season and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2.
Daredevil: Born Again season 2
A trailer for season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again played for fans at NYCC. Here’s a quick recap:
- It begins with Matt and Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) smiling at each other alone in an apartment. Then, suddenly, Daredevil’s senses are activated by an explosion.
- Matt recruits other people to fight against Kingpin/Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), with Jessica Jones being his first recruit.
- Kingpin fights a random person in a boxing ring and beating them to a bloody pulp.
- Bullseye orders a drink while looking good.
- Lots of TV propoganda in support of Fisk, along with civil unrest and protests.
- Daredevil in his block outfit fighting baddies.
- Foggy appears in a flashback.
X-Men ’97 season 2
The critically acclaimed show, which picked up where the original Animated Series left off, will return in summer 2026. X-Men ’97 season 3 is also confirmed.
A trailer shown at the NYCC panel continues the story from season 1, revealing the arrival of Apocalypse in his classic outfit, along with Bishop bringing members of the X-Men including Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Jubilee, and Nightcrawler back to the 1990s from the distant future they traveled too. We also see Wolverine in his classic brown supersuit.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2
The second season of the well-reviewed Spider-Man cartoon will debut in Fall 2026 and feature Venom. We also saw a trailer. Here are some impressions:
- Spider-Man swings around New York in what looks like a more traditional suit.
- He breaks into Oscorp to make sure Norman Osborn isn’t working on anything dangerous, only to discover some symbiote good.
- We also see Daredevil.
- Overall, the animation feels more fluid than it did in season 1.
