hi everyone, I’ve just dropped my phone and the back of it smashed, I can’t feel the cracks on the surface level, it seems like the cracks are underneath the top layer of glass.

I’ve read a few things of people saying this part is non removable so it cannot be repaired? is this true? also read that it means the phone is no longer waterproof? I don’t know much about iPhones 😭

going on holiday in 2 weeks and will be in the water a lot so trying to decide if I should get it repaired or not
