If you tried to open the Samsung Members app over the last few days but encountered an issue, don’t worry, you’re not alone.
The app, which essentially is a hub for Galaxy users, offers diagnostics, news and tips, support, a community forum, and a lot more. Most importantly, it serves as a central place to sign up for and download official Samsung One UI beta software.
A new app update strips Samsung Members of these key features
My products, Register, and Request service are gone
Over the past few days though, the app has been hitting users with a “Samsung Members isn’t supported by your phone’s system software” error.
Highlighted by several users on Reddit and Samsung’s community support forum, via SamMobile, the issue seems to have started over the weekend.
For reference, I don’t have this issue on my S23 FE running One UI 8. However, the amount of reports and subsequent comments confirming the issue on One UI 8 suggests that this isn’t an isolated incident either.
A fix is on the way
The issue has been spotted on a range of devices, including the S25, S25 Ultra, S24 Ultra, Tab S9FE, Tab S9, A-series devices, and more.
“It didn’t stop working right after the December update. I could’ve sworn I was able to open Members last week,” wrote one user, while a different one with no issues wrote “just opened it, 24U one ui8 December security patch, no issues.”
Although the exact cause of the issue remains unclear, Samsung has officially confirmed it is aware of the situation and is working on a fix.
In a post on the South Korean support forum, Samsung wrote:
We are currently experiencing issues accessing the Samsung Members app. The department in charge is currently taking action.
If you need to access Samsung Members and can’t wait for a fix to be rolled out, you can do so on the web. Samsung Members on the web remains unaffected.
