Vasco Electronics has announced the Vasco Translator Q1, an advanced handheld translator designed to make real-time, multilingual communication easier and more personal. Following its debut at CES 2025, the Q1 integrates features like AI-powered voice cloning, live phone call translation, and enhanced photo translation, all wrapped in a modern, travel-friendly design.
A Personalized Take on AI Translation
The Q1’s standout feature is Vasco My Voice, a tool that uses artificial intelligence to replicate the user’s tone, pitch, and cadence across more than 100 languages. This approach allows conversations to sound natural and authentic, rather than robotic. Vasco says the feature is built to help users “be understood as themselves,” whether on a business trip, learning a language, or navigating a new country.
The device also handles real-time phone call translation in over 50 languages, without third-party apps, making it especially useful for international professionals and frequent travelers.
Tools Built for Global Communication
Beyond voice cloning, the Q1 is loaded with features to simplify multilingual communication:
- Group Translation for up to 100 participants.
- Photo Translation powered by a 13MP Sony IMX258 camera with autofocus, translating text in 113 languages. Users can tap translated text to hear it read aloud in their preferred language.
- Touchless Mode for hands-free, real-time voice translation.
- Text-to-Speech support for 82 languages.
- Lifetime Global Connectivity with free, built-in data across nearly 200 countries—no SIM cards or subscriptions required.
Maciej Góralski, founder and CEO of Vasco Electronics, said the company’s goal was to “make communication effortless, whether you’re traveling the world, conducting business, or learning a new language.”
Design Meets Function
The Translator Q1 blends its advanced software with custom-built hardware, including a dual-core processor, dual noise-canceling microphones, and a durable, high-resolution touchscreen. It’s designed for on-the-go use, with a focus on clarity and durability for outdoor and professional environments alike.
Chief Product Officer Tomasz Stomski described the device as “a translator that makes communication feel natural,” emphasizing how the company sought to eliminate the usual friction that comes with cross-language conversation.
